Repurposing salvaged brick is a great example of how sustainable brick can be—it lasts for centuries—and how it actually gets better with age and a little wear and tear. Small wonder. A little rustic, but still precise enough for modern quality standards.

Lime mixes have been used for plasters, render and pointing, not for centuries, but for thousands of years, and they hold an important place in the repair and conservation of older buildings in Ireland today.
