IdolSoSnowWhite, anyone? But Twitter was definitely on fire this Sunday, with many outraged fans crying racism. AmericanIdol really never changes.
American Idol 's Top 6 was whittled down to a Top 4 during Sunday night's broadcast as two contestants fell on the chopping block, but a surprise save allowed one of those bottom two a second chance. When it came down to reveal who America chose as its final four, host Ryan Seacrest regretfully shared that Laci Kaye Booth and Jeremiah Lloyd Harmon didn't make the cut. For years, American Idol was the most popular show on television. However, through the years, the show has been criticized for its winners as well as eliminating those who are arguably more talented than the ones who stayed — and often, viewers accuse voters of voting based on race. In the current season of American Idolthe diversity is definitely lacking.
The Top 6 were also joined by Grammy Award-winning artist Lauren Daigle, who served as this week's celebrity guest mentor. Starting off, who made it into the Top 5? Once again America's Vote took place during the show, with two of the Top 6 seeing their American Idol journey come to an end

You know the one. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Woodstock is an excellent theme to pull from, why not have each contestant do two songs based on that rather than squeezing in a completely different theme on top of it? Aside from a bevy of great songs to choose from, the Woodstock theme also gives us my favorite Katy Perry look of the season.
Because American Idol is loaded with so much talent this year, it's easy to forget who went home which week. Also, make sure to tune in for the finale to see the remaining finalists — Madison VanDenburg, Alejandro Aranda, and Laine Hardy — compete for the title. Laci, with her country twang and strong vocals, absolutely crushed it.
The talent is showing all over the place. Or maple syrup on pancakes. Can you tell that I forgot to have dinner tonight?
